However, when she touches it, it unleashes a mysterious beam of light. Rinnosuke starts acting strange, and a giant tower now stands where Kourindo used to be. The population of Gensokyo has also been replicated by clones who attack people on sight. As the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, it is Reimu’s duty to resolve this latest incident and bring peace back to Gensokyo.
Along the way, she is joined by Futo Mononobe, who has recently set out on a quest to become a first class sage. With her partner in tow, can Reimu make her way through the dungeons of the tower and put an end to this incident?

Time for some Beta Talk!
The past week I’ve been playing the upcoming Grand Kingdom game from NIS America, and frankly, despite the issues the game has, it looks promising! However please do bear in mind this is a Beta game at the minute, so the issues I raise here will hopefully be fixed either at launch or not long after.
The beta is heavily restricted sadly, so I can’t really go into the finer details of certain things, such as classes and how the town works and stuff. Sadly for those you’ll have to wait for the full review. Read the rest…

Your flight crashes after passing through a mysterious portal. As the sole survivor, you awaken to an unfamiliar land lit by stars you’ve never seen. This land is Escario, the city of swords. Quickly marked as the Chosen One, the Stranger of Sword City, you must defend this place, and choose your allegiances carefully as you scour this land for a way home.
This title is, at its core, a game about death and fighting against vanishing forever. You will discover new meaning in the choices you make to survive against all odds. You will define yourself by the lives of those you leave behind, by the people you align yourself with, and the experiences you have on each new venture into the dark labyrinths that threaten to trap you

Developed over five years by industry veterans (Metal Gear Solid, Halo, F.E.A.R.) and fully realised in Unity 5, Republique is a thrilling and topical stealth-action game that explores the perils of government surveillance in the Internet Age.
From the start Republique was going to have to work hard to win me over, since it’s got two elements that usually make me cringe; episodic and iOS Port. However i have to admit that Camouflaj managed to pull off a damn good game that exceeded my expectations. Read the rest…

As most reluctant heroes do, Stella Glow-protagonist Alto starts as a country boy in a small town. One day, he hears a song coming from the forest (which is odd, since song has been absent on the planet for thousands of years), where he discovers the lone Hilda. But after the chance encounter, Hilda reveals she’s the Witch of Destruction, hellbent on destroying the world with her Harbingers. As Hilda is about to destroy Alto’s hometown, he and Lisette are rescued by the Royal Knights and whisked back safely to the kingdom. Alto joins the 9th Regiment for the sole purpose of gathering the other Witches to stop Hilda.
SRPG’s are a hard sell with me, for no other reason than I suck at them, as such I tend not to play them. To date only one game has ever gotten past this, and actually became one of my most played games: Fire Emblem Awakening. Now however there’s a second that’s gotten past my inability to play the game well, thus getting frustrated, and reach a level where I’ll actually be playing this a lot more. Read the rest…
