Time to Rally the Troops!!

Posted on September 22nd, 2013 by Ryu Sheng |

As you can see from the side bar to the right, one of my fave manga is a title by Nao Yazawa called The isolated Zone. I highly recommend this series, but it seems that DMP the publishers are lagging behind in the releases. So it’s time to rally the troops and get pestering!!

If you haven’t already go get the title from EManga and you’ll see why i liked it so much, if you have got it already drop Nao Yazawa a message of support on twitter, then either email DMP at contact@emanga.com and let them know you want the series to continue. Also don’t forget to drop them tweets on both the Digital Manga and Digital Manga Guild twitter accounts. Let them know the fans want their Nao fix and we want it NOW (pun intended :P)

The problem with delayed releases is that while a title may have a strong following at first, the longer they wait to release the subsequent volumes the less interest there is, thus less sales. So come on manga fans, lets rally up and show DMP there is interest in this series!!

Hopefully it won’t end up a forgotten series!!

Site Review: Taking a peek at the new eManga.com

Posted on January 16th, 2013 by Ryu Sheng |

I’ve put off looking at the new eManga site both because it launched just before Christmas and the new year, which is family time. But also because i wanted to give them time to fix anything that may  have gone wrong.

I think it’s safe to do it now, so here we are. I’ll be up front and warn you now, I’m biased as hell when it comes to DMP, they’re probably my favourite publisher these days. And while I’ve been disappointed with the way they’ve handled their kindle editions, overall i have a very high opinion of them. So yeah, expect a lot of gushing praise, though it is deserved Open-mouthed smile

Digital Manga updates the Demon City Shinjuku eBook

Posted on October 11th, 2012 by Ryu Sheng |

I received an email from DMP today regarding the review i did earlier on Demon City Shinjuku. As a result I’ll be updating the review with the new info received and thought I’d make a quick notice post about it.

If you’ve read the review you’ll recall i had two main issues with the release, the first was odd spelling mistakes, and the second errant ‘C’s littered through out the volume; both of these have now being addressed. Here’s what they had to say on the matter:

We went back to the file and found what caused all those unseemly “C’s”. Of course much of the spelling issues were a stylization call, we made sure to clean it up a bit.

I immediately went and got the new version from amazon and will check it out when I’ve finished reading my current book.
